Emma Raducanu decided not to play at the French Open and will instead play at the Rothesay Open in Nottingham in June.
The 2021 US Open champion Raducanu, who missed last year’s tournament due to wrist and ankle surgery, withdrew from the Roland Garros grand slam qualifiers this month in order to focus on getting ready for the grass-court season.
The first WTA Tour event of the British grass-court swing, which is highlighted by Wimbledon from July 1–14, is the Rothesay Open, which starts on June 10.
Emma Raducanu leaves the French Open qualifying round.

Raducanu has competed at Nottingham twice previously; she was defeated by her countrywoman Harriet Dart before making her debut at Wimbledon in 2021, and she had to withdraw from her first-round match the following year due to an injury after just seven games.
The 21-year-old got a direct entry into the competition this year, joining reigning champion Katie Boulter.
