The first official test for the 2025 MotoGP season was held in Barcelona last Tuesday. It was a day full of firsts for the Catalan circuit, with three rookies (Ai Ogura, Fermín Aldeguer, and Somkiat Chantra) making their debut on premier class bikes and nine riders riding for the first time with their new teams, including Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati), who was the fastest of the day with a lap time of 1m38.803s, 0.396s faster than Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha). The session ended with a red flag after a crash by Enea Bastianini (Red Bull KTM Tech3), and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) finished with the most kilometres.
