It’s been a great day for the host nation: A trio of French riders pulled off a thrilling sweep of the podium by finishing 1-2-3 in BMX riding, while judo legend and opening ceremony torchbearer Teddy Riner won a record fourth gold.
Morocco advanced to the men’s soccer semifinals after beating the US, 4-0, marking a brutal end to a fun run for the US squad. Elsewhere, American sprinting star Sha’Carri Richardson eased to an impressive win in her women’s 100m heat, as her Olympic redemption tour begins.
