as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference finals.

The veteran bench strategist, who recently attended an event, sent a brief message to the Mavericks executive via X user 2Cool2Blog, encouraging their fellow Texas team.

Popovich stated:

“Leave, Mavs. Mark, hurry up. Assault the ass.

With a valiant 109-108 victory in Game 2 on Friday in Minnesota, the Mavericks did their Western Conference finals opponent a great service and took a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series.

The Mavericks’ hero, Luka Doncic, made the game-winning three-pointer over Rudy Gobert with three seconds left. Minnesota still had a chance to win, but Sixth Man of the Year winner Naz Reid’s shot from three-point range went wide.

In the second game of the playoffs, Doncic led the way for Dallas, recording his fifth triple-double of the series with 32 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds in 42 minutes of action.

With 20 points and six assists, Kyrie Irving led the way, followed by Daniel Gafford with 16 points and youngster Dereck Lively II with 14 points and nine rebounds.

With Victor Wembanyama, the newly named NBA Rookie of the Year, as their cornerstone, Popovich and the Spurs appear to have bright futures even if they missed the playoffs for the sixth straight season.

The goal for the Dallas Mavericks is to overwhelm the Minnesota Timberwolves 3-0.

After stealing Game 2 from the Timberwolves on Friday, led by superstar Luka Doncic’s game-winning three-pointer that gave his team a 2-0 series lead, Dallas is coming off a high.

Doncic encouraged the Mavericks to keep playing as a unit and with enthusiasm, even though they have somewhat distanced themselves from Minnesota. He is aware that the work is not yet over.

He stated on ESPN after the game:

Despite their 0-2 deficit in the series, Minnesota All-Star Anthony Edwards is optimistic that they are still in the running, drawing inspiration from their West semifinal matchup against the Denver Nuggets, the previous champs.

The Timberwolves led the series 2-0 but were forced to play a seventh game.

Edwards stated of their existing circumstances:
