Four of ESPN’s first ten Sunday night baseball broadcasts included Ohtani and the Dodgers.
BRISTOL, Connecticut—In addition to making an appearance on the sport’s primary opening day on March 27, Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers, the reigning World Series champions, will be highlighted on four of ESPN’s first ten “Sunday Night Baseball” broadcasts.
The Dodgers’ Sunday night games against the Chicago Cubs (April 13), Atlanta Braves (May 4), New York Mets (May 25), and New York Yankees (June 1) will be televised on ESPN, the network said Wednesday.
Last year, the Dodgers, Yankees, Braves, and Boston Red Sox all participated in the maximum number of Sunday night games.
Most other teams begin play on March 27, but Los Angeles plays the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo on March 18 and 19. That day’s doubleheader on ESPN includes exclusive coverage of the Dodgers’ home game against Detroit and the Yankees’ home game against Milwaukee. The five-game ESPN restriction for each club is not affected by the appearances on March 27.
