Former Player Reveals A Big Concern With The Lakers…

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off their worst loss of the season, with LeBron James having his worst performance in recent memory, finishing with 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists and six turnovers on 4-of-16 shooting from the floor against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After a solid start to the 2024-25 NBA season, the Lakers looked like they were better than expected after a turbulent offseason, but following a six-game winning streak, they have hit a rough patch with five losses in the past seven games.

It seems as though things are trending in the wrong direction for the Lakers, as new head coach JJ Redick hasn’t really figured out how to use his two best players correctly in order to get the best out of James and Anthony Davis.

Former NBA player Richard Jefferson recently said the Lakers need to bring in some help and stop putting so much on James’ plate.

“LeBron James needs help. That is the end of it. Does he need to take a break? Yes, he needs to take a break, but I think more so to extend his longevity to extend his greatness to a potential run. He can’t be doing this much this early in the season,” Jefferson said, via NBA on ESPN.

It has become clear that the Lakers need to make a trade or two in order to get back to form as a force to be reckoned with in a very competitive Western Conference.

The real question is whether Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka can get creative and figure out a way to bring in some more talent, because if he doesn’t, the rest of the season could be rough for Los Angeles.
