Following a serious health scare for his son, Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman spent the night at a nearby hospital on Wednesday.
After LA’s 8-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants, Freeman hurried out of Dodger Stadium, according to his wife Chelsea, and went immediately to a local hospital room to be with their youngest son, Maximus.
During the family’s trip to the MLB All-Star Game in Texas earlier this month, the three-year-old reportedly had what doctors thought was transitory synovitis, a disease that usually causes excruciating hip pain.
On Wednesday night, Chelsea, who has been married to Freddie for ten years, first posted on Instagram: “Please say a prayer for Maximus… The doctor claims that the viral illness he got [during] Star Week caused him to get temporary synovitis.
“The third day of not being able to walk, stand, or sit… Any advice on how to help infants swallow or take their medications? Normally, he takes his medication well, but he keeps spitting it out.
