Chase Elliott is ‘Genuinely Proud’ of the No. 9 Team’s Progress in 2024 and…
Chase Elliott is in a reflective mood as he looks ahead to the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. After what has been a challenging couple of years for the No. 9 team, Elliott expressed that he’s “genuinely proud” of how the team has regrouped and recalibrated its direction for 2024.
“I think the most important thing is the direction we’re heading,” said Elliott in a recent interview. “We’ve put in a lot of hard work in the offseason, and I feel like we’re on the right track. We’ve made some great strides already, and I think that’s something we can really build off of moving forward.”
Team Chemistry and Work Ethics Are Key to the No. 9 Team’s Success
As Elliott looks to improve on his performance in 2024, he’s been quick to credit the team’s work ethic and chemistry for their recent gains. “A lot of it comes down to the relationships within the team,” he explained. “We’ve got a great group of people working on the car and making decisions. The trust we have in each other is what’s going to make us better. We’re all pushing in the same direction, and that’s a powerful thing.”
The No. 9 team, with its mixture of experienced crew members and fresh faces, has been under the microscope after some mixed results in recent seasons. But Elliott believes the fresh approach and renewed focus will pay off in the long run.
New Season, New Energy for Chase Elliott and No. 9 Team
For Chase Elliott, the excitement of a new season brings with it a renewed sense of optimism. “Every year is a fresh start,” Elliott said. “I think the biggest thing for us this year is that we’ve set some clear goals, and the entire team is focused on achieving them. We’ve got a great foundation, and now we’re building on that every day.”
Elliott went on to express his enthusiasm about the opportunities ahead. “We’ve got a solid foundation of talent and knowledge, and the energy around the shop has been amazing. We’re ready to take the next step and be competitive week in and week out.”
A New Focus on Performance and Consistency
With the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season rapidly approaching, Elliott also mentioned the team’s newfound focus on performance consistency. After facing several setbacks in recent years, the No. 9 team has been working hard to improve reliability and consistency on the track.
“We’ve all been talking a lot about consistency,” Elliott said. “It’s great to have a fast car, but if we can’t show up week after week and produce results, it doesn’t matter. We’ve been working on our setups, our strategy, and making sure we can compete for wins throughout the season.”
