Lamar Jackson Stats, News and Video - QB | NFL.com

Lamar Jackson
Baltimore Ravens · Year 7

2024 stats: 8 games | 66.9% completion | 2,099 passing yards | 8.9 yards per attempt | 17 passing TDs | 2 INTs | 501 rushing yards | 2 rushing TDs | 5 fumbles

In Week 8, Jackson faced his first real challenge this season, struggling slightly as he missed a few open receivers who might have changed the game’s momentum. Some key passes were also dropped by teammates, yet he continued to display his skill by moving the ball smoothly at times, keeping the Ravens in a close match against Cleveland. He proved elusive on the ground and threw for 289 yards with two touchdowns, even without much help from Derrick Henry. Jackson rekindled his connections with Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews, and Nelson Agholor, hitting each for key plays. However, despite his efforts, he couldn’t secure a win alone against a tough Browns defense familiar with his style. It was a solid performance, though not his best.

Rank 2
Josh Allen

Josh Allen
Buffalo Bills · Year 7

2024 stats: 8 games | 64.1% completion | 1,766 passing yards | 7.9 yards per attempt | 14 passing TDs | 1 INT | 204 rushing yards | 3 rushing TDs | 5 fumbles

When the Bills’ offense is clicking, it’s something to behold, especially since it allows Allen to play his signature style. In Week 8, this included precise passes to tight ends, a strong presence from Khalil Shakir in the middle of the field, and the growing connection between Allen and rookie Keon Coleman, who pulled in five catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. The running game provided balance, easing the pressure on Allen and allowing for a commanding performance where he took advantage of Seattle’s defensive looks and added his own flair—like his scramble and pinpoint throw to Dalton Kincaid for a touchdown. If the Bills keep this momentum, Allen could soon join the MVP race.

Rank 3
Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes
Kansas City Chiefs · Year 8

2024 stats: 7 games | 68.4% completion | 1,651 passing yards | 7.3 yards per attempt | 8 passing TDs | 9 INTs | 139 rushing yards | 1 rushing TD | 0 fumbles

In Week 8, the Chiefs’ offense didn’t shine, but Mahomes’ skill in avoiding containment helped secure the win. He created plays through improvisation, moving in and out of the pocket and making on-the-run throws to keep drives alive. According to Next Gen Stats, he went 8-for-12 for 89 yards, with one touchdown and a 116.3 passer rating on such attempts. Although he threw an interception, it was due to the ball being deflected mid-throw. Mahomes was, once again, brilliant at exploiting small openings to extend plays. His unconventional style this season may not reflect in box scores, but those watching closely can see he’s performing very well.

Rank 4
Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow
Cincinnati Bengals · Year 5

2024 stats: 8 games | 70.3% completion | 1,993 passing yards | 7.6 yards per attempt | 15 passing TDs | 3 INTs | 106 rushing yards | 1 rushing TD | 3 fumbles

For the first two and a half quarters in Week 8, Burrow was nearly flawless, delivering precise throws all over the field and driving two scoring efforts in the first half, including a touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase. However, the second half didn’t go as smoothly, as a pass intended for Chase was deflected into C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s hands for an interception. With the Eagles keeping the pressure on by scoring, Burrow couldn’t quite keep pace alone and ended the game with just one touchdown. He remains among the NFL’s best quarterbacks this season, though recent games highlight he can’t do it all on his own.

Rank 5
Jared Goff: 'I'll pick Teddy's brain' – Macomb Daily

Jared Goff
Detroit Lions · Year 9

2024 stats: 7 games | 74.1% completion | 1,695 passing yards | 9.0 yards per attempt | 13 passing TDs | 4 INTs | 18 rushing yards | 0 rushing TDs | 4 fumbles

In Week 8, the league’s hottest quarterback, Goff, had an unusual day for a top performer. Under significant pressure on intermediate and deep throws, he didn’t need to cover much distance passing because the Lions took advantage of turnovers deep in Tennessee territory and had exceptional contributions from their return teams. Goff’s three touchdown passes came from within Tennessee’s 10-yard line, and he finished with just 85 passing yards. Still, he stayed efficient, making the most of excellent scoring opportunities. Even running back David Montgomery contributed with a touchdown pass for Detroit.

NFL Draft Prospect Spotlight: QB CJ Stroud - Ohio State — Charger Press

C.J. Stroud
Houston Texans · Year 2

2024 stats: 8 games | 66.5% completion | 1,948 passing yards | 7.3 yards per attempt | 11 passing TDs | 4 INTs | 84 rushing yards | 0 rushing TDs | 3 fumbles

Though the Texans still aren’t providing Stroud with consistent protection, they showed some improvement in Week 8. Stroud has adapted well to handling the pressure, showing more skill at escaping the rush while keeping his eyes downfield and making faster, accurate throws. While this limits the offense’s overall potential, he’s making the best of the situation. Houston may lean toward more rollouts moving forward, a tactic Stroud has proven effective with. He managed the game well, helping put 23 points on the board against the Colts, and most importantly, led the Texans to victory.

Rank 7
Jayden Daniels - Washington Commanders Quarterback - ESPN

Jayden Daniels
Washington Commanders · Rookie

2024 stats: 8 games | 71.8% completion | 1,736 passing yards | 8.4 yards per attempt | 7 passing TDs | 2 INTs | 424 rushing yards | 4 rushing TDs | 3 fumbles

Despite playing with a rib injury in Week 8, Daniels threw for over 300 yards and delivered an unforgettable Hail Mary. Statistically, it was another standout performance, with Daniels nearing 400 total yards, though Chicago’s defense posed a real challenge, especially on third downs (Washington converted just 5 of 15). It wasn’t the dominant showing Daniels has often led this season for the Commanders, but once again, he demonstrated he’s far from an ordinary rookie.

Rank 8
Matthew Stafford

Matthew Stafford
Los Angeles Rams · Year 16

2024 stats: 7 games | 67.7% completion | 1,671 passing yards | 7.2 yards per attempt | 7 passing TDs | 5 INTs | -7 rushing yards | 0 rushing TDs | 2 fumbles

For the first time since Week 1, Stafford played with his full lineup of wide receivers, and Rams fans got to see just how exceptional he can be. Last Thursday, he rekindled his chemistry with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, firing sharp throws from the pocket, completing off-balance passes, and even evading two sack attempts to send a perfect pass to Kupp for a touchdown. Stafford’s powerful arm was on full display, with a highlight reel packed with impressive throws—a refreshing departure from the challenges he faced over the past month.

Jordan Love injury: Packers QB strains groin vs. Jaguars; has a chance to play vs. Lions in Week 9, per report - CBSSports.com

Jordan Love
Green Bay Packers · Year 5

2024 stats: 6 games | 61.7% completion | 1,547 passing yards | 7.7 yards per attempt | 15 passing TDs | 9 INTs | 28 rushing yards | 0 rushing TDs | 1 fumble

Evaluating Love’s performance in Week 8 is challenging due to a groin injury he sustained on the Packers’ first possession. He attempted to play through the discomfort, completing 14 of 22 passes for 196 yards, but it was evident that the injury hindered his performance, and backup Malik Willis eventually took over. Love did throw an interception, but it didn’t hurt the Packers as they quickly regained possession through an interception of their own. He managed to guide Green Bay on several scoring drives before leaving the game, but once again, concerns about his health take center stage.

Rank 10
Sam Darnold
Sam Darnold

Minnesota Vikings · Year 7

2024 stats: 7 games | 67.2% completion | 1,610 passing yards | 8.5 yards per attempt | 14 passing TDs | 5 INTs | 106 rushing yards | 0 rushing TDs | 5 fumbles

Darnold connected frequently with Justin Jefferson against the Rams, leading two touchdown drives that culminated in passes to Josh Oliver and Trent Sherfield. Even in the 30-20 defeat, Darnold displayed composure, keeping the Vikings competitive by exploiting opportunities along the sidelines to extend drives. He was denied a fresh set of downs due to a missed facemask penalty in the closing moments of the tough loss, but the defeat certainly wasn’t his fault.
