A fatal mid-air collision on Louisville Road on Friday evening resulted in one death and multiple injuries. The Bowling Green Police Department is currently reconstructing the scene, which involved a white SUV that lost control, crossed into the median, and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. The crash killed a woman and injured two others, with one driver being airlifted to a trauma center.
- The accident happened just before 6 p.m. near Hardy and Son Funeral Homes. The SUV, traveling north, veered off course after hitting another car and a utility pole before striking a southbound vehicle head-on. The southbound car’s driver, a woman from outside Bowling Green, was killed instantly, while the SUV’s male driver was flown to a Nashville trauma center. The crash caused minor injuries to occupants in both vehicles, though a baby in the SUV was unhurt. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed. Louisville Road remains closed for the investigation.
