Christie Sides was named the new head coach of the Indiana Fever on Friday.
Her most recent role was assistant to the Atlanta Dream in the 2022 season. She has handled a variety of collegiate and international coaching positions in the previous 20 years, most notably as the Indiana Fever’s assistant coach in 2018 and 2019.
Fever President Dr. Allison Barber said in a statement, “We are thrilled to have someone with Christie’s experience and record of accomplishments take our young athletes to the next level.” “Coach Sides embodies the principles and ideals of fever. ” She works really hard, is a fierce competitor on the court, and is a wonderful member of our community.
The squad the Sides take over has a 44.2% probability of being taken first overall in the 2023 WNBA draft, having finished with an 11-57 record in the previous two seasons.
