Emma Raducanu of Britain is scheduled to compete at the Nottingham Open in June.
The 21-year-old, who won the US Open in 2021, has chosen to forego the French Open the following week in favor of concentrating her preparations on the grass-court season, which she was unable to play in last year due to surgery on one ankle and both wrists.
Before Wimbledon begins on July 1, the Nottingham event, which kicks up on June 8, is the first WTA Tour match of the British grass-court swing.
Raducanu has participated twice in Nottingham; the first time she lost to her countrywoman Harriet Dart in 2021, and the second time she withdrew from her first-round match against Viktorija Golubic due to an injury she sustained after just seven games.
Among the entrants is Katie Boulter, a British player who won her first WTA Tour event in Nottingham in 2023.
World No. 9 Ons Jabeur of Tunisia, Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic, winner of the 2020 Australian Open, and Sofia Kenin of the United States are among the other competitors in Nottingham.
