The New Orleans Saints announced on Wednesday that the 25-year-old NFL tight end, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s cancer around two months ago, has signed a contract.

The Louisiana team tweeted several times to welcome the athlete to the squad and included images of him formally signing a new contract.

The New Orleans Saints withheld the terms of the agreement from ESPN, but it was discovered that Moreau’s contract is for $12 million spread over three years, with $3 million in guaranteed money and $8 million in incentives.

Agent Joe Linta told ESPN that Moreau, who has been receiving cancer therapy, has seen good outcomes. This upcoming season, he intends to play. The newspaper claims that Moreau is permitted to rehearse on the football field next week.

Free agent Foster Moreau finds out he has cancer and will be “stepping away” during a standard NFL physical.
After doctors discovered his disease during an NFL physical, Moreau announced on Twitter in March that he was retiring from football.

In a tweet, he added that “cancer” had emerged as his new foe in life. “After undergoing a standard examination by the Saints’ medical staff in New Orleans, I’ve discovered that I have Hodgkin’s lymphoma and will be discontinuing my football career,” he stated.

The athlete conveyed his appreciation for “those who have stood firm with” him. He said, “I will keep looking to the hundreds of people who have gone before me for direction. There hasn’t been a single step I’ve taken without them.”

“That being said, I’ll go kick this thing’s ass and get back to doing what I love!” declared Moreau. AMDG!
