According to Indianapolis Star Matthew Vantryon, Christie Sides has been hired head coach of the WNBA’s Indiana Fever.

On Friday, Christie Sides was announced as the Indiana Fever’s new head coach.
She most recently supported the Atlanta Dream in the 2022 campaign as an assistant. Over the preceding 20 years, she served in a range of coaching capacities at the college and international levels, most recently as an assistant coach with the Indiana Fever in 2018 and 2019.
“We are happy to have someone with Christie’s experience and record of success leading our young athletes to the next level,” Fever President Dr. Allison Barber said in a statement. “Coach Sides is the embodiment of our Fever values and goals. She is a committed achiever, a tough opponent on the court, and an important part of our community.
With an 11-57 record in the last two seasons, the team that the Sides will take over has a 44.2% chance of being selected first overall in the 2023 WNBA draft.
