Christie Sides was named the new head coach of the Indiana Fever on Friday.
She most recently served as an assistant for the Atlanta Dream in the 2022 campaign. She performed in a variety of coaching roles at the collegiate and international levels over the previous 20 years, most recently as an assistant coach with the Indiana Fever in 2018 and 2019.
Fever President Dr. Allison Barber said in a statement, “We are thrilled to have someone with Christie’s experience and record of success leading our young players to the next level.” “Coach Sides personifies our Fever principles and objectives. She is dedicated to achieving excellence, a fierce competitor on the court, and a valuable member of our community.
The team that the Sides will take over has an 11-57 record over the previous two seasons and a 44.2% likelihood of selecting first overall in the 2023 WNBA draft.
