The Lions’ CEO, Sheila Ford Hamp, sells the team.

For the first time since Ford Field opened in 2002, Sheila Ford Hamp declared she had sold out the team.

According to Lions President and CEO Rod Wood, a waiting list will now be in place for individuals who wish to purchase season tickets.

We’re delighted about the home field advantage that this will generate inside Ford Field this season, Wood said in a statement following the announcement, as reported by The Detroit News.

All six sessions were sold out in a matter of hours after going on sale on July 19, according to Jeff Risdon of Lions Wire. A few fans shared stories of their experiences waiting in lines longer than five thousand people to get tickets on social media.

The Lions finished 9-8 overall in 2022, with an 8-2 surge in the last stretch of the season.

Although they haven’t won a division title since 1993, this team has a strong chance of doing so in the fiercely competitive NFC North in 2023. If we win, we might host the first-ever home playoff game at Ford Field.

Lions fans want to be there to see that firsthand, but some may have to wait a little longer to secure tickets owing to overwhelming demand.
