Unbelievable: Sheila Ford Hamp, the proprietor of the Detriot Lions, has sold the organization to…
For the first time since Ford Field opened in 2002, Sheila Ford Hamp said that she has sold out the team.
Lions President and CEO Rod Wood has announced that a waiting list will now be in place for individuals who wish to acquire season tickets.
We’re thrilled about the home field advantage that this will create inside Ford Field this season, Wood said in a statement following the announcement, as published by The Detroit News.
All six practices were sold out within hours of being on sale on July 19, according to Jeff Risdon of Lions Wire. A few fans shared their stories of waiting in lines longer than five thousand people to get tickets on social media.
The Lions had an 8-2 run towards the conclusion of the season in 2022, and they finished 9-8 overall.
Although this team hasn’t won a division title since 1993, they have a strong chance of doing so in the fiercely contested NFC North in 2023. If Ford Field wins, it might host its first-ever home playoff game.
Lions fans want to be there to witness that firsthand, but some may have to wait a little longer to secure tickets owing to overwhelming demand.
