A highly sought-after Mountain West transfer has agreed to an official visit with the Texas Longhorns. Jay’Vion Cole, a former cornerback for San Jose State, revealed on X (Twitter) that he will be visiting Austin from this Thursday, May 4, through Saturday, May 4.
Cole tweeted, “I’ll be at the University of Texas through this weekend.”
Cole also disclosed his May 7–9 visitation to Auburn. It is also stated that he plans to visit Michigan State.
Check out Cole in these cold, white Texas threads:
As a true freshman, Cole—who started his career at Cal Poly—made a significant contribution to the team by ending with 15 tackles, 4 passes defended, and 4 interceptions.
During the previous offseason, the Oakland native transferred to San Jose State. Against stronger opposition in his first season with the Spartans, Cole recorded 28 tackles, 100 passes defended, three interceptions, and a sack. For his performance, he was named honorable mention All-Mountain West.
He would provide much-needed depth to the Texas secondary, which has lost Austin Jordan and Terrance Brooks to the transfer portal. He now appears to be destined to jump to the SEC.
